Pimodek Architecture has carried out the full renovation of a private family home in Göktürk, a neighbourhood far from the chaos of Istanbul, for an art-collector young couple with two children. Originally built in the 1990s, the house has been entirely reimagined as a contemporary cocoon, defined by a warm colour palette, natural materials, finely crafted details, and a strong sense of spatial continuity.
Spread across three storeys, the living space maintains a careful balance between private and communal areas across its levels. The staircase connecting the ground and upper floors is demolished and redesigned to meet both functional and aesthetic needs. With the addition of a swimming pool, the house now blurs the boundaries between interior and exterior, thanks to expansive openings that invite the landscape inside.
